Les cornouillers (cornus kousa sinensis et ses hybrides) séduisent par leurs superbes et grandes bractées. Elles peuvent être blanches,roses ou rouges et font de ces arbustes au port graphique les stars du moment.
Les petits rouges gorges ont quitté le nid, déjà, mais les parents veillent et continuent à les nourrir.
